Please share your experience working with patients diagnosed with COVID-19

I have not worked with patients diagnosed with COVID-19. I currently work with patients on inpatient who require Occupational & Physical therapy. Due to COVID-19, I was moved from my normal location in the outpatient therapy clinic to inpatient. All of outpatient therapies have been cancelled, and I had to quickly get trained on how to work on inpatient, so that I can still have a job. At this time, it is extremely important for me to follow necessary precautions to not expose these patients to anything that can cause harm to their bodies. With COVID-19 going on, I have had to adhere by the new precautions for patients that can make treatments more of a task than normal.

What advice would you give to people during this pandemic?

Stay alert and calm. With receiving news daily and things changing so rapidly, it is important not to get overwhelmed. Try to find things that make you happy and keep your spirts lifted!
