Please share your experience working with patients diagnosed with COVID-19
As an ER nurse, I see patients who may or may not have it. We don’t find out for almost a week to a week and a half later about diagnoses. I wear a surgical mask, a cap now, and goggles around all patients. One N95 for anybody who could possibly have it. I am reusing my N95 throughout my shift. At times, it’s a lot to deal with because everyone is on edge.
What advice would you give to people during this pandemic? Stay home. Washing your hands is better than hand sanitizer. Spend time with your family. Enjoy this time. Stop watching the news. People are recovering daily.
