Please share your experience working with patients diagnosed with COVID-19

As a Family Physician, I take care of patients in many settings, including hospitals and clinics. I have taken care of patients on the COVID Unit of my hospital and continue to provide primary care services for my patients who are doing their best to survive in this very different world. While there are so many sad stories, I have seen patients beat the odds and I’m proud to be an Aggie on the Front lines!

What advice would you give to people during this pandemic?

If you have chronic medical conditions, do not delay getting the care you need! Many doctor’s offices are still serving their patients through virtual medicine (phone/video) or seeing patients in person for limited services. Some practices are even working to assist patients with other essential needs, such as food and personal hygiene supplies through community organizations. If you can afford to give, please consider donating to a local organization working to keep your community afloat during these tough times!
