Please share your experience working with students during the pandemic?
Working with students has been an experience. Everything we once knew has changed but we have been flexible and resilient. This pandemic has shifted the responsibility to all people including the students. They are feeling the pressure but are rising to the occasion. Parents are understanding how important it is for them to be involved and a teammate with the teacher. Teachers are focusing on the needed standards and are being innovative in their virtual delivery! This experience has opened the communication portal between leaders, teachers, students and parents. Transparency is a MUST! As well as grace! My experience has been a good experience thus far but I have my school community and county to thank for that. This profession is forever changing but the realization that these are unprecedented times has resulted in a whole new world! We as educators are changing with the times but we do need the help and support of the communities we serve!
What advice would you give to people during this pandemic?
The advice I would give to people during this pandemic is to give yourself and others grace. Know that as long as you are trying your best it is enough. Pray every day and every night. Make sure you are taking care of yourself before trying to take care of someone else! Love yourself and give love to the world!
