Please share your experience working with students during the pandemic?

Teaching during this COVID 19 pandemic has been like riding a ship without a sail, not knowing which way things will go and not having a clue how much the ship can handle. It has uncovered emotional pockets and holes that we did not know existed as educators but have learned how to function with the emotions while continuing to lead without it showing. It has shown the strength, the tenacity and the resilience that lie within the hearts and minds of every educator and support staff of education. We have pulled our strength so that our students could feel love and have given so much love so that our students feel that they belong whether it is in a virtual classroom or in the classroom at their school. So, the pandemic way of teaching has overall taught us as educators how to be versatile and shown others that what we do is truly done from the heart. For that, we will continue to show up for what matters, our students.

What advice would you give to people during this pandemic?

The advice I would give to others would be to simply continue to live, enjoy life with family and be safe in doing it. This is a time where we must not miss the opportunity to continue to live because of fear, but to move with caution and safety always in mind.
